Free Online Stock Trades?

I just turned 18 and I want to get started in the stock market, not a lot, just a few hundred dollars. I want to do online trading, but most of the sites have trades costing about 7 dollars a piece, so for the little money I would be investing, its not really worth it.

There are no “free” on-line trades provided by any reputable broker/dealer.
All trades cost the firm money, not only to execute, but to clear, warehouse and report, so somebody has to pay.

If you believe $7 is too much to pay for a transaction, then you should not be “trading” and if you are just getting started in the market, you should not be trading at all. Also, $250 is not sufficient to trade.

Very few firms require their customers to have a balance of $25,000, many firms will permit account with only $500

You should be looking into investing a try to build up your investing capital, but taking $250 to “trade” is not the way to go
