What does short selling mean in intraday trading of shares in National Stock Exchange?.

Short selling in intraday trading works the same way as other short selling, i.e. selling stocks you borrow. When you sell shares short intraday, you buy them back before the close of trading. If a lot of intraday short selling took place in the early part of the day, it can create buying pressure at the end of the day, because intraday traders will have to cover their short positions before the end of trading.
