Live Stock Market Prices

a market price and then a real time price?

I noticed on yahoo finance there are two prices for a stock..the market price (which is 15 minutes ago) …the market price might be 8.25 and then the live price might be 8.30…. does that 8.25 price turn into the market price 15 minutes later? I’m assuming if a day trader saw a 8.25 market price and then a 8.30 real time price they would want to buy it right away? thanks =)

What you are seeing is a delayed price that happened in the past. The real-time price is the current price and the delayed price is the price that particular stock was 15 minutes ago. You cannot buy that stock in the present for the delayed price.
