Stock Ideas for a beginner in the market?

I am fairly new in the stock market. I have an account through charles schwab. I have about 2,000 to work with. Any ideas on some decent stocks or a decet stock? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RGC is good, they pay a .37 dividend. They are a growing company that will grow over the years.

IMAX is good too, they have just started. They have partnered up with Dreamworks and will make the next Harry Potter film.

Once they release the Harry Potter Film, think about how much the shares will rise.

McDonalds is good too but since gas prices are low, nobody will go to MCD right now. So thats something you can hold for now.

Google (GOOG) is #1 right now, I say buy now. wait till october and sell.
