How could someone check to see about whether or not their stock shares are still good?
I am just wondering. A great Uncle of mine left some stock certificates with my family before he died and They were bought in the late Sixties ,early Seventies. Can someone please help me figure this out?
Even if your stock certificate is not worth anything, it might be worth something as a collectible. Your old stock certificates may be worth more than the original stock they once represented.
Many have become sought after by hobbyists, Wall Street collectors, and people looking for unique gifts. Old stock certificates have become quite valuable and have launched a new hobby called scripophily. Scripophily is the study and collection of old stocks and bonds.
Do some homework and check out some of the Wall Street collectible sites. They may be worth more than you think.
